Family holidays in San Antonio
Accommodation varies from budget self-catering apartments, to all inclusive holidays offering the last word in luxury. Many people take last minute breaks at the start and end of the season, when both prices and temperatures are lower and the resort is less crowded. Otherwise, they book hotels on the town outskirts, and at San Antonio New Beach.
New Beach is totally geared towards family holidays. Created in 2002, the resort boasts a wide, golden beach and shallow, safe swimming. The water sports area is located further along, well away from young families and ideal for singles or couples. Families booking all inclusive holidays here get facilities like baby-sitting, meaning kids can play on the beach by day, while parents and older family members can visit the bars and clubs at night.
The town square has exotic gardens and musical fountains. August family breaks are focussed on this area, as it’s the best place from which to enjoy the firework display which is the height of the resort’s annual fiesta.
