Nissi Bay Holidays

Great breaks in Nissi Bay

Nissi Bay is one of the top resorts for family holidays in Cyprus. Just a few kilometres from Ayia Napa, this modern purpose-built resort offers all inclusive holidays with a range of water-sports and other activities. Within easy reach of all the major attractions, the spotless golden sand and warm breezes make it a popular choice for family breaks. With a huge range of watersports, and plenty of after-dark entertainment, it’s equally popular with groups and couples, who book last minute breaks here throughout the year.

Active holidays in Nissi Bay

As Ayia Napa’s most popular beach, Nissi can become crowded in the summer months. However, it is surrounded by smaller coves that are isolated enough to be quiet even at the height of the season.
Watersports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice if they book all inclusive holidays here. With extensive, silvery sands and warm, crystal clear waters, they can choose from water-skiing, parasailing, scuba diving, and windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. People taking family breaks with young children can rent  pedaloes, or take out a motor boat and find a quiet bay to paddle in. The Cyprus Tourism Organisation regularly patrols the beaches, ensuring their cleanliness and safety. This has resulted in Nissi achieving  Blue Flag status.

Last minute breaks out of season

Many people prefer to book all inclusive holidays outside the busy summer months, when both prices and temperatures are lower. There is plenty to see and do here, apart from lazing on the beach. Rent a car and you can visit picturesque Agia Thekla, and the sheltered bays of Makronisos Beach.  The Byzantine Monastery of Kykkos, and the spectacular Caledonian Falls also make good excursions.
Ayia Napa was once a small fishing village. Its history goes back many centuries, but much of this is forgotten amid the nightclubs and bustle of the summer months. Visiting out of season gives you the chance to explore its other side – the Venetian monastery with its lavishly decorated interior; the picturesque harbour  bobbing with colourful fishing boats, and the museums and art galleries.

Self catering family breaks in Nissi Bay

A large number of all inclusive holidays in this area are booked as apartments in gated complexes. This gives you the option of choosing where to eat. Most people head for Ayia Napa, which has everything you could want in the way of shopping and dining. This is also, of course, where the island’s nightclubs, bars and all-night discotheques are – making Nissi a good choice for singles.
We at Future Travel recommend our last minute breaks in Nissi Bay for anyone who wants an action-packed holiday that’s not too far from the bright lights of Cyprus.
