Maspalomas Holidays

Maspalomas for all inclusive holidays

Maspalomas is the refined neighbouring resort of Playa del Ingles, on the Canary Island of Gran Canaria. Ideal for family holidays, it boasts golden beaches, watersports, amusement parks, two aquaparks, a golf course, camel safaris and much more besides.

Maspalomas is a very popular choice for those looking for all inclusive holidays away from the crowds and noise of Playa del Ingles. The two are separated by a strip of sand dunes, giving easy access to Playa without the unwelcome intrusions.

All inclusive holidays in Maspalomas

The resort is ideal for family breaks, with a four mile strip of golden sand, edged with sand dunes. The dunes are popular for a camel safari or guided trek too.

There is a lot to see and do in the area, and most like to book all inclusive holidays or self-catering family breaks with excursions as an option. The promenade, which extends all the way to Playa del Ingles, offers everything you could wish for in the way of amenities with restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment facilities. The apartment complexes (aparthotels) are of high quality, some offering all inclusive holidays as well as self-catering. There are also a number of luxury villas along the waterfront.

Family holidays with something for everyone

Maspalomas has both the largest and one of the smallest water parks in the Canary Islands. Aqualand, the largest, has a huge total of 33 water slides. Sited in a tropical oasis just south of the resort, it is open all year round. The smaller one is a popular choice for those taking family breaks with young children. Close to the Holiday World theme park, it has 13 slides, swimming pools and refreshment facilities. There is also a safe freshwater lagoon to swim in, near the sand dunes.
Maspalomas beach has plenty of water sports, from scuba diving to paragliding. There are also whale and dolphin-watching trips, and big game fishing – a sport that Gran Canaria is famous for – can be arranged at neighbouring resorts. On dry land, you can take a mountain bike or jeep safari to the Barranco de Fattaga national park, or hike around ancient Mundo Aborigen and learn the history of the native Guanches, the original people of the island.
Last minute breaks in Maspalomas aren’t complete without visiting the 19th century lighthouse. Over 200ft high, it is the tallest lighthouse in the Canary Islands and a popular starting point for camel safaris into the dunes.
We at Future Travel recommend our last minute breaks and all inclusive holidays in Maspalomas for anyone who wants an unforgettable holiday in Gran Canaria.
