Local buses are reliable with regular routes to nearby beach resorts such as Turgutries, Bitez, Camel Beach and Torba Beach. Local taxis are also very affordable.

There are many restaurants and bars that have sprung up in the centre of Gumbet over the years and there is a fabulous shopping centre in the middle of the town. There are some exceptional Turkish restaurants in the area which gives those taking beach breaks to Gumbet a taste of the local cuisine whilst dining by the beach.

Bodrum Castle was built in 1402 as the then known Castle of St Peter and is now a stunning underwater museum of archaeology.

Boat trips can be taken from Gumbet to the Greek Island of Kos. There are many spas where you can enjoy the cultural Turkish Baths or Hammam. For a full day of fun then head to the local water park at Gumbet and enjoy the waterslides and wave pools.
