For a more relaxing atmosphere the smaller resorts such as Playa del Cura and San Agustin offer a slower pace.

Gran Canaria is the windiest of all the Canary Islands which makes it a haven for sailing and windsurfing. Inland the preferred sports include golf, tennis and mini golf.

There are three main waterparks in Gran Canaria and they are vast encompassing nature parks and theme parks; they’re great for family holidays, whether for the children or adults.  Family attractions in Gran Canaria include major waterparks at Aquasur and Ocean Park, Palmitos Park and Crocodile Park, Holiday World’s huge funfair and the Wild West Park at Sioux City.
