Costa Adeje Holidays
Costa Adeje for last minute breaks
Costa Adeje is a purpose-built resort near Playa de las Americas, Tenerife. It is specifically geared towards family holidays and older couples wanting low-key last minute breaks away from the clubs and bars of its neighbour.
Family breaks or last minute holidays in Costa Adeje can be as luxurious or budget-conscious as you wish, ranging from all inclusive holidays in exclusive spa hotels, to self-catering breaks in budget accommodation. We at Future Travel have both at Costa Adeje, at prices you’ll find impossible to beat.
Family breaks on not-so-golden beaches
Like much of Tenerife, the main beach of Playa de Fanabe is black and volcanic, rather than sandy and golden. However, this doesn’t seem to worry the children, who seem to like building castles out of granite-coloured sand! The sea is calm and welcoming, there are plenty of parasols to give respite from the heat of the sun, and although the beach is small there are plenty of facilities.
The Playa del Duque beach is overshadowed by some of Costa Adeje’s top luxury hotels. All inclusive holidays here come with gated complexes, golf courses, private health clubs and luxury spas. Book last minute breaks out of season, and you can enjoy these facilities for a very reasonable price – although the beach is open to everyone.
Costa Adeje offers a number of water-based activities, including big-game fishing, paragliding, and scuba diving and glass bottom boat trips. If you tire of the beach, there is an Aqua Park nearby. Land activities include golf, tennis, and the Sky Park adventure sports centre. There is also a zoo and aquarium.
Retail therapy
You will find shopping and dining experiences at every level here. At the top end, you have the designer stores and 5 star restaurants of the Bahia del Duque Resort.
For a more down-to-earth shopping experience, head for the promenade. This long stretch links the resorts of Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and La Caleta, and is lined with shops, bars and restaurants, making self-catering family breaks a cinch to organise.
Excursions from Costa Adeje
Family holidays don’t have to revolve around the resort – there are plenty of excursions on offer, or you can rent a car and organise them yourself.
Costa Adeje is famous as the site of the Barranco del Infiermo, (literally “Hell’s Gorge”) the deepest ravine in the Canary Islands. It offers spectacular walks in an environmentally protected landscape, while the old town of Adeje, 12 miles inland, offers fascinating historical glimpses of the area’s past.
We at Future Travel guarantee you an unforgettable experience, should you book your family holidays or all inclusive holidays at Costa Adeje.
