Last minute holidays to Aruba

The fabulous Caribbean island of Aruba has become increasingly popular for last minute holidays in recent years, for families and with those travelling without children. Its picturesque houses, family beaches and range of activities make it a popular destination for family breaks in the sun or all inclusive holidays.

Aruba has been popular with American tourists for a long time, and has numerous resorts offering all inclusive holidays at affordable prices. Aruba is part of the Netherland, and thus has a unique Dutch flavour, with gabled houses, Dutch restaurants and even a windmill!
At Future Travel, we offer great holidays to Aruba that allow you to sample this unique island to the full.

What to do on Aruba last minute breaks

Aruba offers last minute holidays in accommodation ranging from small hotels to all inclusive holidays in modern resorts. Renaissance Island is Aruba’s grandest holiday location, but there are numerous, more modestly priced alternatives.
For all inclusive holidays, Aruba’s water sports and safe, sandy beaches make the Palm Beach side of the island perfect for everyone. Palm Beach itself is a Las Vegas style resort of classy hotels, casinos, and live night clubs.
The beach is fringed with palm trees and restaurants offering cuisine from across the world, but it also has scuba diving and banana boat rides.
For family breaks, UK visitors tend towards quieter areas like Eagle beach, Arashi Beach and the well named Baby Beach, which is popular with families looking for all inclusive holidays of the bucket-and-spade variety. The other side of the island is great for hiking and exploring, with wild areas like Boca Grandi and Andicuri having spectacular cliffs and blowholes.

Getting out and about exploring the island

Aruba has a fascinating colonial history. Plaza Daniel Leo, in the main town of Oranjestad, has charming Dutch colonial houses to explore, as well as Fort Zoutman, a 17th century fort standing next to a pretty clock tower which once doubled as a lighthouse.
De Palm island offers fantastic all inclusive holidays for everyone. It features a water park, first class beaches, and some of the best scuba diving on the island. Most of the island’s hotels arrange diving tuition, with dives to shipwrecks and coral reefs for the more advanced.
Even last minute holidays to Aruba aren’t complete without a visit to the ruins of Bushiribana Gold Mine. The California lighthouse,  Aruba butterfly garden and Arikok National Wildlife Park also make worthwhile changes from the beach. The 620 feet high Mount Yamanota offers superb views, as well as the spectacular Fontein limestone cavern.
Aruba is a superb location for last minute holidays, and at Future Travel we will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
