Altinkum is one of our favoured Turkish resorts at Future Travel, especially for those with young families or adults seeking all inclusive holidays. It is small, relaxed and perfect for last minute holidays by the sea.
The resort has three gently shelving beaches extending from rocky cliff tops at one end to a tiny harbour at the other. Holidays to Altinkum are generally taken at all inclusive resorts, although self-catering is also popular.

Although not as large as other Turkish resorts, Altinkum has plenty of shopping opportunities. The pedestrianised seafront is crammed with small gift shops and stores selling jewellery and crafts.

Things to do on Altinkum holidays

Altinkum has some fabulous beaches, but the summer can be scorching. The sun umbrellas for hire keep off the worst of the heat, and when you tire of the sun bed you can take a dip in the safe, turquoise waters. The resort has numerous opportunities for windsurfing, jet-skiing, banana boat rides and scuba diving.  
For less active holidaymakers, there are pedaloes and boat excursions to the neighbouring resorts and historic sites. Air conditioned excursion buses can’t always get to the most interesting areas, so hop on a dolmus (local mini bus).
Last minute holidays in Altinkum mean fun for everybody, so as well as excursions to the ruins of Ephesus, there are trips to the Pamukkale spas and mineral deposits for mum, and the lively bars and clubs of Kusadasi and Bodrum. Meanwhile, there is also a myriad of golf courses for the keen golfer.
The nightlife here isn’t as rowdy as the big resorts, meaning your all inclusive holidays can be as relaxed as you want. Those searching out entertainment head for Dolphin Square and the sea front, where the bars and clubs have everything from old school disco beats to belly dancing lessons.
