Alcudia Holidays

Last minute breaks to Alcudia

Alcudia is a historic old town in northern Mallorca, close to a long, curving swathe of white sand and the resorts of Port d'Alcudia and Playa de Muro. The area is popular for “old school” holidays, with resort hotels and little of the nightlife of the south.
Alcudia is perfect for family breaks with children. It offers lovely beaches, clean calm waters, and activities like horse-riding and go-karting. It is also extremely good value, as many people prefer the clubbier, brasher resorts of the south.
At Future Travel we have good value last minute breaks and all inclusive holidays at Alcudia throughout the year – all it takes is a few clicks of the mouse to take you there.

Where to take holidays in Alcudia

Alcudia’s beaches are long and sweeping, with clean white sand and calm blue waters. This makes it an ideal destination for families, who generally book Alcudia family breaks at the beach resorts of Playa de Muro and Port d'Alcudia.
Alcudia is a popular destination for all inclusive holidays for the adults too, offering a traditional seaside atmosphere with few nightclubs and late discotheques. Although there are no major shopping centres, there are plenty of small stores selling souvenirs, local crafts and foodstuffs. A rustic weekly market is held in the town centre.
Playa de Muro has some chic modern designer boutiques in the port district, which is also where the best and most expensive restaurants are sited. However, there are plenty of eateries selling a more relaxed menu familiar to British eyes.

What to do on last minute holidays to Alcudia

Most activities are sited round the beach area, where you can do anything from scuba diving to taking a boat trip. There is also a water park, the spectacular beaches of Formentor promontory, and the ancient towns of Luc, Pollenca, and Alcudia to explore. Alcudia Old Town was the Roman capital, and has historical monuments spanning thousands of years. There are also fascinating Bronze Age remains at Arta.
Even last minute breaks to Alcudia invariably mean renting a car, and the mountain village of Lluc is well worth a drive. The steep climb is rewarded by some of the most spectacular scenery on the island. For fit people, the Castell d’Alaro is a popular hiking trail which takes you from the town of Alaro to a 15th century ruined castle. The peak offers a dramatic view of the island.
At Future Travel, our last minute breaks and all inclusive holidays to Alcudia offer top value holidays with tons to do and plenty to see for the families and the adults. Contact us to arrange a booking.
