For some parents the school holidays come too soon and last far too long, but you’ll be surprised how much fun you can have and how quickly the time will fly by when you’re enjoying family breaks abroad and doing something enjoyable.

Alternatively for a longer holiday you could fly to Orlando in Florida and visit the real Disney Land. The weather is hotter, the rides are bigger and you have a selection of theme parks to explore, including Epcot and Universal Studios.

For a quieter bucket and spade type holiday you could travel to one of the popular family holiday destinations in Europe, such as Portugal, Turkey, Majorca or France. Family holidays in Portugal and other similar countries offer you the chance to relax by the pool and on the beach while your children enjoy themselves in a way they just can’t do in the UK.

Family holidays such as these are very cheap as well because you’ll often find all inclusive holidays where your meals and drink are included in the price. This can save you a lot of money on your holiday, which is important when you have the children with you.

Cheap holidays include self catering holidays, which are great if your kids are really picky about their food or you want to make everything yourself.
